Trust the call… Educating yourself through books and online resources is key for anyone hoping to adopt a baby! My book Called to Adoption is full of inspirational stories from adoptive parents, helpful resources and tips, and encouragement for your journey to adoption.
 
As a young Christian wife, I looked forward to the day I would become a mother. I believed that raising children in the Lord was one of God’s plans for my life. It hadn’t occurred to me that adoption would be part of His plans. As I struggled with challenges to building my family, the Lord was always faithful, opening windows when doors would close, guiding my steps through the maze that was my journey to motherhood.
 

Is it time to answer the call?

 

Take time living in God’s presence so that you can recognize His will for you. If you feel that the Lord is summoning you to adopt, then look into your options. Learn more about the many types of adoption and the choices you have. Your time spent researching might be to realize an adoption yourself, or it may just be so that you have accurate knowledge about adoption which you can share with others.
 
There are just a few ways to affect people for a lifetime as we progress through each day, sharing His love with others. Adopting a child into our hearts, our lives, and His heavenly kingdom is actively changing a life for our lifetime and forever.
